CLASS STRUCTURE – 5 Segments
(1) 10 min – Student-Coach Check-in + Stretch
(2) 10-15 min – FJM as Warm up/ Games as Warm up
(3) 15-20 min – Technical Instruction + Exercises
(4) 15 min – Grappling Games/Randori
(5) 10 min – Cool Down
NOTES:
(1) Fundamental Judo Movement learning is progressively introduced to students through instruction and is added to warm-up repertoire progressively.
(2) Concepts of gripping, breaking balance, throwing form is taught as part of technical instruction (technique learning) and emphasized during every technical lesson.
(3) Full lifting in throwing is optional. Throws can be done without lifting for students who are less physically developed relative to their peers.
